This Tibet Spiritual Tour covers the most prominent monasteries around Lhasa including the remote Reting Monastery the beaten path. It is one of the best Tibet Buddhism Retreats in Tibet. Some of the wonders of the journey start from the holy city of Lhasa by appreciating its prominent historical and religious sites like Potala Palace, Jokahng temple, Sera, and Drepung monastery.

Your arrival to the holy city will be greeted by the lovely blue sky and an impressive glimpse of the gigantic Potala palace perched on the red hill, while during a couple of days of acclimation and jet-lag alleviation, you will deeply be overwhelmed by visiting numbers of world heritages and supernatural temples.

Other than the bustling streets and tourist crowd, this Spiritual Journey in Tibet focuses on peaceful hermitage cliffs and natural hot springs in the far remote. Astonishing off-the-beaten track through the alpine valley will highlight the isolated villages, and hermitages at Reting monastery and Tirdrum nunnery in the remote.

After a long drive, you can get relief by soaking in the famous natural hot spring at Tirdrum nunnery and then completing the kora to its starting point Lhasa via visiting Dregong till monastery and Ganden monastery. This tour avoids the tourist crowds and follows the footprint of the devoted Tibetan pilgrims.

Our representatives greet your arrival at the airport/train station and it is a short drive to the holy Lhasa city along the Lhasa river within a valley enclosed by barren mountains, far before reaching to the city you will have the first glimpse of tremendous Potala Palace appearing out from the rest of the city by perching on the red hill. Then check in the hotel which is located in the old part of the town and which is also known as Tibetan area that centered by mystical Jokhang temple and the bustling Bakhor street. In the following couple of days we have thoughtfully arranged few but worthy visit to some world heritages and sites of breathing Tibetan Buddhists along acclimation and alleviating Jet-lag, you have plenty of time to walk shoulder to shoulder with devoted local pilgrims in the bustling Bakhor street, it is also a real pleasure to explore the busy cobbled lanes twisting around the aged buildings in the supernatural Drepung and Sera monastery, and our knowledgeable guides enhance your experiences with a thorough historical and cultural explanation. These days are flexible and easy to do on your own exploration around the town and hang around the Bakhor street during your leisure. In addition we do arrange special experiences of short visit to typical Tibetan village family or receive rare scared blessings from high lamas with local pilgrims per clients interest.
After days of acclimations to the plateau climate and altitude, we drive out to the northern nomadic grassland, over the Qinghai-Tibet highway along the newly built train track we will merge into the Changthang -Northern nomadic plain, then cross the Legan la pass with altitude of 5190m, from the pass you will astound by the first glimpse to stunning holy Namtso lake in the west and Thangula range in the far north, afternoon, explore around the Tashi Do promontory, the picturesque scenery of the holy Lake is non-separable from local culture and mythical folktales, they believe it is home for dragons and they are visible during the thunder storm. It is worthwhile to follow the pilgrimage trail circumambulate around the hill by passing long mani-stone wall and mystical caves, nevertheless, in the summer months, the lake is beautifies by flocks of migratory species birds rest at the lake during their long migration journey.
This Spiritual Tour completes with its featured drive to off the beaten track within the alpine valleys, cutting through isolated villages and lone nomads family tents highlight the rural beauties, then the peaceful Reting monastery and Buddhist retreat in Tibet at Tridrum nunnery aloof from the tourist crowded cities condition and you will have a beautiful time to meditate, the principle seat of Kadampa school- Reting monastery is located amidst the remarkable juniper trees on the lower slopes of Mt. Gangi Rarwa and it had played an very important role in the Tibetan history and religion during its heyday. Further follow the Reting river and several old Kadampa stupas situated along the route lead us to Tridrum nunnery, it is located down at the bottom of basin valley and heaps of prayer flags crossing over the stream is the spiritual contribution of local pilgrims, short hiking up to the retreat caves behind the nunnery give you a complete pictorial scene of the valley. On the last day we will visit the Drigung monastery that sprouting up on a high and steep ridge and Ganden monastery perched on the Wango hill overlooking the Kyichu valley.

We are 3 people that will travel from Chengdu to Lahsa by train, arriving around August 5th. We want to take 4 days tour in Lhasa.  We need to know how to book the tour with you, the price, how to pay it and what are the documents we need to go there. We will get our tourist visa to visit China after we book the tour. Two of us will travel form Chile in South America and our son -also chilean- will do it form South Africa. Stay tuned to reply

Hi, I am interested in this tour. But I cannot exert myself much and was wondering if I can skip the Kailash Kora and use other forms of transportation. I do however want to see Mt. Kailash. Also are you able to provide oxygen?
