About Yangpachen Hot Spring

Yangpachen Hot Spring lies on the southern slope of the Nyenchen Tangula Mountains some 90 km to the northwest of Lhasa. It is close to the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in Damxung County. Yangpachen is world-famous for its spectacular phenomenon of hot springs boiling on the cold plateau.

The hot spring here is rich in hydrogen sulfide and frequent bathing in such water is believed to be able to cure many chronic illnesses. Besides, It is universally believed that hot springs have a beneficial effect on the liver and gallbladder, rheumatoid arthritis, back pain relief, insomnia, etc. Besides, hot springs baths the health effects and the protection of the skin, relax smooth and soft hair away from infection, and fatigue, and promote sleep.

Yangpachen is very near to Namtso Lake and you can pay a visit while taking the Namtso Lake Tour. It is very nice to take a bath in that hot springs at the foot of grand snow mountains.
