A group of 4 friends, decided to embark in an adventure to Tibet with specific ideas for the itinerary. After an exhaustive search of travel agencies that would be able to fulfill our deepest desires, our choice fell on Explore Tibet. They helped us with everything we want, even the train tickets from Beijing.

The Tibetan tour guide was very thoughtful, always on time, spoke English fluently and was always available to answer any questions, even the dumb ones… On the way to Everest we could pick on some small details that gave out how much he really enjoyed what he was doing. He even shared his food with us, which we appreciated a lot (thank you for the bananas!).

The driver was very funny in his quiet way. He was always ready to stop whenever we asked for, even when we asked “when possible we need to go to nature”. His smooth driving along with the comfortable car made the trip much more enjoyable.

Explore Tibet arranged all the hotels accommodation for us. They were in light with our expectations – we were not hoping for super fancy facilities nor asked for, but they were clean and safe. The only suggestion we would make is for Explore Tibet to find a hotel in Shigase closer to downtown to make it easier for guests to explore on their own, if they wish to.

In our way to Everest the agreed plan had to be slightly changed due to unforeseen road closures. Both the guide and the driver were very open about it and promptly suggested alternatives to minimize the impact, nonetheless they liaised with us before the final decision made. The suggestion chosen increased the driving hours, but both of them were very happy to do so, just to ensure we would have the best and wished experience.

No doubt that if we go back to Tibet we will be using Explore Tibet services again!
