Nepal Hits By Deadly Quake

Today April 25th, 2015 at 14:11 an area between the Nepal capital Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara was struck by a 7.8 magnitude earth quake. Badly damaged at the epicenter and in the Kathmandu city downtown. Tremors were felt across the region, and neighboring country like India, Bangladesh and Tibet. An mountaineer said an avalanche at Mt.Everest was resulted by the earth quake and currently the mountaineers are withdrawing from the area, it starts snowing in the Tibet side around Old Tingri as well as the EBC, so local authority had already close the tourist going to EBC for their safety reason. Part of the road from Nyalam to Sino-Nepal border town Zhangmu was also damaged and there is no way to enter into Nepal from Tibet by land, so even the tourist arrived around the border are heading back to Lhasa and fly out of Lhasa. So if your Tibet tour is going to EBC or plan to enter into Nepal from Tibet, then it is good to contact your travel consultant and find an alternative plan, so far the furthest point that a tourist can go is the Shegar and there is no way to see the Mt.Everest from Shegar town, so if the climate doesn’t change in the coming week then have a plan B without going to EBC. We are very sorry for the inconveniences but we will try our best to come up a best alternative against this unforeseen situation.
