Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa (3,650m) 

– Arrive in Lhasa, the heart of Tibet, and transfer to your hotel.  

– Rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.  

– Overnight: Lhasa  

Day 2: Lhasa City Exploration

– Visit Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s most sacred temple, surrounded by pilgrims.  

– Stroll through Barkhor Street, a vibrant market and spiritual circuit.  

– Explore Sera Monastery, famous for its lively monk debates.  

– Overnight: Lhasa

Day 3: Lhasa’s Iconic Landmarks

– Tour the majestic Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  

– Discover Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastic university in Tibet.  

– Overnight: Lhasa  

Day 4: Lhasa → Shigatse (310km)

– Scenic drive past Yamdrok Lake and Karo La Glacier.  

– Stop in Gyantse to visit the stunning Kumbum Stupa.  

– Continue to Shigatse, home of the Panchen Lama.  

–  Overnight: Shigatse  

Day 5: Shigatse → Chutang (4,200m) via Gyawula Pass (5,210m)  

– Journey through Tibetan villages and river valleys.  

– Cross Gyawula Pass for panoramic Himalayan views.  

– Arrive in Chutang, the trek’s starting point.  

– Overnight: Camping or local guesthouse  

Day 6: Chutang → Shawutso Lake (4,300m) – 6-7km / 6hrs  

– Begin trekking through alpine meadows filled with wildflowers.  

– Camp beside the tranquil Shawutso Lake.  

– Overnight: Camping

Day 9: Thangsham → Tsoshugringma (4,250m) – 6km / 5hrs

Day 10: Rest Day at Tsoshugringma

– Relax and soak in the majestic mountain scenery.  

– Optional short hikes for photography.

Day 11: Tsoshugringma → Tingri – 7km / 7hrs  

– Final trek over Langmala Pass, then descend to the road.  

– Drive to Tingri for a well-deserved rest.  

– Overnight: Tingri hotel  

Day 12: Tingri → Shigatse (250km)

– Return to Shigatse and visit Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.  

– Explore the seat of the Panchen Lama.  

– Overnight: Shigatse  

Day 13: Shigatse → Lhasa (260km)

– Drive back to Lhasa via Everest and Karola Glacier.  

– Enjoy final glimpses of Tibet’s stunning landscapes.  

– Overnight: Lhasa  

Day 14: Departure  

– Transfer to the airport/train station for your onward journey.
