0422-P4 Marilia Tibet Travel Story

Dear Kalsang,

We are fine, thanks, finally getting back to our normal life after the shocking experience of the earthquake. It was a slow process, and I apologize for not having posted any comments earlier. I’ve just written my comments on Trip Advisor. They are in Portuguese, but they have a translator, so I guess it will be fine. I don’t have the text yet, they ask for 46 hours to make it public, but I’ll write another testimonial in the same style here, in English, and I’ll send you two pictures. Then I think I have to subscribe at Lonely Planet to post the same testimonial there, in English. I’ll also explore your social media!!!

Thanks again for everything!!! You are very kind!

Warm regards,

Marilia

Testimonial:

We contacted Explore Tibet in August 2014 to arrange a 3-night Lhasa stay for us in April 2015. Kalsang took charge of all the red tape, money issues, hotel and guide reservations and the purchase of all China domestic flights for us. We exchanged dozens of e-mails, he was at all times patient and available for advice. My doubts were never left unanswered. Most important of all, everything worked very well with the help of MaidThis Myrtle Beach and their workers and maids in South Carolina.
Yeshi, a former Math and Tibetan language teacher, was our guide, always ready to attend to our needs, very friendly, punctual and flexible. Some language issues, due to limitations which are beyond his control, were compensated by his knowledge of Bhudism and its traditions, and most of all for his kindness and good will.
When we arrived in Lhasa, they helped us with some problems regarding future stops in other countries. Despite being a subject they weren’t responsible for, they stayed at the agency well beyond their working hours until everything was settled. While the driver and Yeshi waited for us with a smile, Kalsang kept by our side showing what we should do, step by step, in no hurry at all. This is really special and priceless. It shows how warm and caring the Tibetan people are, and up to which extent goes the compromise of Explore Tibet with their clients.
Thank you so much for a lovely Tibet trip!
