I am hoping to go to Tibet in July. I have a work visa and FEC in China that will expire June 30. I was planning to try to cancel it and apply for a humanitarian travel visa extension to get my affairs in order June 25. Will this be too late to arrange the TTP and trip for mid July? Would like to enter Tibet by train from Qinghai.

Tibet Travel Permits is an essential permits needed for all the foreign travelers and this permit can be obtained around 18 days. To apply for the Tibet Travel Permits I will need you to send us your clear scan copies of passports and Chinese visa.

As you are holding the Chinese Residence Permits I also need the working certification of your company in China to work on the permit. Please send the clear scan of your your passport+Chinese Residence Permit+ working certification of your company in China to me .

Hello
I’m writing to ask whether you can help me and my friend organize a Tibet tour. We plan on arriving in Lhasa by train from Beijing around July 10. We’re interested in the 8 day EBC + lake tour. Are there fixed departures around this time? I understand it’s the monsoon season in July. If you think the rains will affect our enjoyment of this tour then we are open to the idea of going somewhere else. We want to experience culture mountains and great scenery.
Looking forward to your reply. By the way I’m Canadian (living in the Philippines) and my friend is a US citizen (living in Egypt).

Regards
Marcus

Thanks for your inquiry
On July 12th we have a Group Tour for 8 Days EBC Exploration this trip is the best tour itinerary because we provide reasonable amount in Lhasa to acclimatize altitude by visiting the Main Attractions of Tibet like the Potala palace Jokhang Temple Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery during two days stay in Lhasa. Then driving further from Lhasa to Mt. Everest base Camp by visiting beautiful lakes and snow-capped mountains. The trip will end here in Lhasa. https://www.exploretibet.com/tibet-group-tours/8-Day-EBC-Group-Tour.html

Yes it is correct that the July is the rainny season in Tibet though the rain in Tibet has some disciplane that the rain usually falls in the early morning late evening or in the night time. Because of the harsh Sun and the high plateau. Due to the rain the atmosphere in Tibet will filled with more oxgyen level and it is actually the perfect time for you to visiting Tibet so I am sure that you will enjoy your trip in Tibet specially with us and it will not effect your trip.

Dear Sirs
We are three adults who are planning to visit Kathmandu and Lhasa. On 24 Aug afternoon we will arrive in Kathmandu with different flights arriving from Doha and muscat. How long will it take to get the Tibet ViSa if we make application in Kathmandu? Two of us will have the flight back to Italy on 31 Aug at 1645 via Doha while I will have to be in Seoul on 31 Aug. if I take one way to Lhasa from Kathmandu with a Tibet ViSa can I take air China flight from Lhasa to Seoul via Beijing ( I will not go back to Kathmandu)? In Beijing I will only change the flight. Or do I also need a visa for continental China?
Thanks a lot. Kind regards
Giuseppe

I am an Australian citizen and I am hoping to visit Tibet in October/November. If possible I would like to join a tour from Lhasa to different parts of Tibet and then to do some voluntary English teaching at a local college in Lhasa which is owned by a Tibetan. The owner is the friend of a Tibetan student who Is studying in Australia.  I know this Tibetan student and she would like to show me around Lhasa if that is possible. Please let me know how I can obtain permission to do this.
Thank you
David Hankinson
admin03-122018): Dear David

Thanks for your inquiry this is Rex from Explore Tibet.

Permit application: Tibet Travel Permit
Tibet travel permit process takes around 18 days and we need 3 days to send you the permit in mainland China. We also need your passport and China visa copy for the permit application. Please send me clear photos or scan copies. If your China Visa is not an "L” visa then you must also provide additional documents such as student certificates work permits residence permits and so on.

Tour information: Tibet Group tours
Since you are two traveler I advise you to join the 8 days EBC exploration group tour . since it is cheaper. We have 1st 12th 19th 26th 31st in Oct and 7th 14th 21st in Nov. for you to join .

Cost is USD900 per person except 1st and 12th in Oct cost is USD960 if you can confirm booking 3 months in advance I can offer you 5% off.

For teaching at the college if you just experience in there for couple of hours that is okay we can arrange that for you but if one day or more days which will make it impossible. For your friend show you around Lhasa yes workable but all need to with guide.

So I advise that you can let her/him show you around Lhasa in the morning then in the afternoon go to the college for experience so only one day private tour needed which costs USD160.

Best regards
your personal trip advisor
Rex
