Lhamo La-Tso- Fortune-telling lake
Lhamo La-Tso Lake is known as an oracle lake. According to the legend, it has a magic power to show one’s past and next life. This power assists a lot in the discovery of reincarnations of the two highest leaders in Tibetan Buddhism - Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas. In 1935, the Tibetan regent journeyed to the lake after the death of the 13th Dalai Lama to seek for the clue of the next Dalai Lama. Following this clue, he found Tenzin Gyatso, the present 14th Dalai Lama.

Lhamo La-Tso is a brilliant azure jewel set in a ring of gray mountains. Staring at the same water surface of Lhamo La-Tso lake, different people will see different visions. The more devout you are, the more visions you will see. Faced with the quiet lake, the water was so clean, made my heart calm and peace.
