2500 year old Cypress tree


The 2500 year old Cypress tree situates in Lingzhi or Nyingchi attracts numerous travelers all around the world, which situates near Pagyi village. That is the tallest and oldest Cypress tree in whole China surrounds by 1000 of small and big other cypress trees.

Some experts are looking after these trees under the supervision of government in order to have a normal and undisturbed growth. According to such experts, analyzing for the cypress trees they can tell that ‘it was crystal clear that these cypress trees are the family of Yarlung River (Tsangpo in Tibetan) trees’.

 

History

The 2500 year old Cypress tree situates in Lingzhi or Nyingchi attracts numerous travelers all around the world, which situates near Pagyi village. That is the tallest and oldest Cypress tree in whole China surrounds by 1000 of small and big other cypress trees. It is said that 21 people can embrace the tree fully, which got 50 meters in height and 6 meters in diameter that looked after by many experts supervised from the government where they check after these tree’s growth. According to the experts, this cypress belongs to Yarlung Tsangpo cypress tree family.

Bayi or Nyingchi prefecture is also called the Switzerland of Tibet as apart from the oldest trees there are Oak trees and Mulberry trees all around the place, especially the Lunang Forest that arouses huge interest from Tibet travel and tours.
