Foreign friends no matter you are in China for work, or with your family, or stuck here due to the pandemic, this tour is definitely the best choice for you to have a freak and be at peace. Tibet Travel Permit for TAR is not opened at the moment, so Kham is the best place to experience Tibetan New Year where you can homestay with local Tibetan families, enjoy the traditional Tibetan village new year celebration and our local Tibetan guide and driver escort you to travel like locals. (Feb 11th) Day 1: Arrival to Chengdu
Arrival in Chengdu, the famous hometown of giant pandas. Meet your tour guide and driver, and then transfer to your hotel.
If your flight arrives early today, our guide/driver will take you to visit the Jinli Old Street, which is an interesting street with varieties of Sichuan foods and snacks. Rest and easy.

(Feb 12th) Day 2. Chengdu – Danba Jiaju Tibetan Village (370km, 5 hours)
In the morning, drive to Danba Jiaju Tibetan village by passing through Xiao Jin County (2,000-3,000m), Xiaojin is located in the northwest of Sichuan Province and the southern tip of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. It is an area where Tibetan, Qiang, Hui, and Han ethnic groups live together, and Jiarong Tibetans are the main ethnic group with unique and diverse ethnic customs.
The water flow in this area is abundant, and the tourism resources are unique. The Siguniang Mountain (6,250m) National Scenic Area, is respected by tourists at home and abroad as the “Oriental Sacred Mountain”.
Danba Tibetan Village, represented by Jiaju Tibetan Village, is the first of the six most beautiful rural ancient towns in China.
The frame and eaves of the stocked buildings are all red, and the walls are painted white or in primary colors, with sun, moon and stars and religious patterns, which are beautiful and spectacular.
Danba is also well known for the tower buildings that we can see in most of the villages in the area.
Every year on the eve of the Spring Festival, the host will carefully paint and dye the walls of the village in accordance with traditional customs, using local white mud as the main raw material.
The best way to visit here is to stay in a Tibetan home, experience butter tea and Tsampa, and feel the enthusiasm of the local people.

(Feb 13th) Day 3. Jiaju Tibetan Village – Tagong Grassland – Xinduqiao – Pengbushi. (190km, 4 hours)
Tagong is a pure pasture grassland closest to Kangding. In the eyes of the photographer, this is a surprising location. Wildflowers along the road are in full bloom in warm season. On the green grass, there are occasional tents with a white background and blue patterns. There may be yaks, horses or sheep and other leisurely grazing figures entering the field of vision. During the Spring Festival when the weather is too cold, we may not see those but focus on the local culture, lifestyle, and architecture.
Xinduqiao is known as the “photographer’s paradise”. Then we continue our drive to Pengbushi for the night.

(Feb 14th) Day 4. Tibetan New Year in Pengbushi Village, our Guide Tenpa’s home.
Today you will be staying in local Tibetan house, our guide Tenpa’s home in Pengbushi Village, to experience the very traditional Tibetan New Year. During the Chinese Spring Festival/Tibetan New Year, the village has many kinds of celebrations, such as Tibetan folk dance of Guozhuang, Horse Racing, Singing Tibetan songs. You will have the chance to visit or take part in those programs based on what is available during your stay at Pengbushi. Afternoon, we will drive up to the top of the Yakgu pass and enjoy the beautiful sunset of Mt Gonka panorama.

(Feb 15th) Day 5. Pengbushi – Kangding – Hailuogou Hot spring. (180km, 4 hours)
Today we will leave from Pengbushi and drive down to Kangding, Kangding is located at the foot of Paoma Mountain at the northern end of Gongga Mountain in western Sichuan. It is the capital of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and an ancient city on the plateau with a long history. The ancient city is surrounded by three mountains, two waters are flowing, the Zeduo River runs through the city, and various buildings rich in ethnic style are scattered on both banks of the river. The leisurely folk songs and the graceful folk dance make this place rich in the characteristics of plateau ethnic customs.
Kangding is not only the hometown of love songs, but also an important town of tea-horse exchange and the birthplace of Guozhuang Dance culture. The majestic snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lakes, verdant forests, turquoise fields, hot hot springs… the ocean monsoon winds along the north-south Hengduan Mountains, making it abundant in rainfall and clouds and fog. Kangding is not only a beautiful scenery, but also a transit point for tourism in Ganzi Prefecture.
Afternoon, we will head to Hailuogou valley for the hot spring, we have booked a small and cozy local hot spring hotel where you can enjoy the afternoon by relaxing in the natural hot spring.

(Feb 16th) Day 6. Drive back to Chengdu. (288km, 4hours)
Today we will drive back to Chengdu and in the afternoon visit Panda Breeding center in Chengdu. Then back to Hotel and rest.
It is time to say good bye to our driver Tenpa as he will drive back to home in the next day morning and our Chengdu driver will drop you to the airport next day.
(Feb 17th) Day 7. Fly from Chengdu.
Today our Chengdu driver will pick up from the hotel and drop to the airport based on your flight time, so please remember to send us your flight information beforehand.
